Cover from G.B. to Colombia, bearing the 1923 SCADTA 30c handstamped “G.B.” cancelled at Baranquilla, without additional Colombian adhesives but with large violet boxed “T/$0.30” (0.30 in manuscript). These overprinted stamps were put on sale in the country indicated by the overprint by Consular Trade Missions etc. Most probably this item was placed inside another envelope, addressed to the SCADTA Company, which was removed upon receipt, and Colombian stamps should have been added but the extra postage for onward transmission by air to Bogota was apparently not pre-paid, hence the Tax marking. An extremely scarce and unusual SCADTA item. Most desirable.
