Cover to England bearing Small Canoe 2d (a few perfs stained) cancelled by “BRITISH SOLOMON ISLANDS / AOLA” c.d.s., backstamped at Sydney and upon arrival at Bungay. The postal agency at Aola was only open from 1908-12 and again in 1916-20, this first type datestamp being used in the first four year period of opening. A very scarce cancellation.
