Entire to St. Catherines U.C., bearing 1852-57 3d deep red/brown red (S.G. 6, 8) fine used with close to large margins well tied by “16” in circle of bars cancel with supporting Hamilton c.d.s. at lower left. St. Catherines red c.d.s. on reverse. A most uncommon cancellation, rarely seen on a fine entire.
