Entire letter from Monsieur Teauchoys, a merchant in Dieppe to Bartolomeo Corsini in Gratious (Gracechurch) Street, London. The letter, dated 25th June 1594, commented on the availability of elephant teeth and the prices of sugar. Dieppe was an important centre; barely 60 miles from the English port of Rye, Dieppe was the main route for the letters from Lyon and Rouen as well as many letters from Paris
